In the current climate of healthcare reform and increasing emphasis on improved population health outcomes, the need to focus efforts on building healthy communities is more relevant than ever. Technology and data advances support healthy communities through transparency and open data agendas, big data analysis, and improved usability and flexibility in system design. Dr. Geraghty will discuss these themes as they apply to the GIS workflows that support building healthy communities.
