VENUE:
The conference will take place at the brand new Davenport Grand Hotel (opened summer 2015), part of the Marriott Autograph Collection.
The URISA conference has arranged for a very economical sleeping room rate for conference attendees: $139 single/double. Note that all rooms booked in the URISA block also include complimentary internet access! Reservations must be made by September 17, 2015.
Update, September 21: the hotel is just about sold out. You are encouraged to call to see if, by chance, there have been cancellations in order to reserve your room. Call the Davenport Grand reservations toll-free number at 1-800-918-9344. Be sure to ask for the URISA Conference group rate. Otherwise there are a few alternate options within a short walk. (Update, August 6: the government per diem rooms have all been spoken for.)
REGISTRATION:Full Conference Registration: includes one URISA workshop, access to all educational sessions, proceedings, conference tote bag, networking reception, luncheon, breakfast, and evening social event. Northwest GIS User Group members are also offering preconference classes as part of the conference. Those one and two-day offerings will require an additional fee.
Those individuals who are URISA and/or NWGIS members and reside locally or have a reservation at the conference hotel receive the best registration rates. This long-standing policy, common among associations, ensures the contractual obligations of the association with the hotel and encourages optimal networking among the attendees.
Review the online registration and/or downloadable form for specifics, but for budgeting purposes:
All attendees are expected to read and acknowledge that they will abide by the Code of Conduct.
Exhibits & Sponsorships:URISA and NWGIS partnered in 2012 in Portland and the results were off the charts with attendance and energy. This meeting will be the premier educational event for government GIS managers and technical staff, attracting attendees from not only the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies regions, but from across the globe.
