Robert Mickla has over 25 years of experience in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering Design/Drafting, as well as, Geographical Information Management and Analysis. Career experience includes hands on knowledge in a variety of field level activities. Recognized accomplishments are recorded in highly visible citywide projects. He develops geospatial data and user access applications for citywide GIS.
Prior to joining the City of Delray Beach, Mr. Mickla was CADD Manager for Birdsall Engineering in Belmar New Jersey. While there he developed mapping strategies for site analysis for private and municipal development. He managed geological and geographical data used for siting and modeling landfill sites within Monmouth County.
Mr. Mickla continues to expand his ability to provide data and service to his customers. He has been active in Palm Beach County GIS activities and personal mentoring. He has co-authored numerous GIS-presentations that have been presented at URISA and the South Florida GIS Expo events.
